In Graphically Inclined, each castaway was to design a graphic or advertisement of some sort for one of the following:

• Cappadocia or Turkey as a whole
  
• This series
  
• Amanda
  

There were no limits on what they could do. Photoshop, hand-drawn images, video advertisements, etc. They would be judged on their idea and its execution, visual appeal, neatness, relation to the theme, and how well they sell their idea.

It fits I guess with HVV coming up, but there is nothing unique to connect it to this series.

6th PLACE - MICHELLE C.

Inspired by the notorious "The Many Adventures of Lividmanda (http://survivorsucks.com/topic/30903)" I decided to create the latest spin off dedicated to everyones favourite host. I decided to include in this.. whatever it is, my two favourite things about this game. Amanda's crazy antics and.. myself of course. Not having the tools to create a sophisticated image, I decided to challenge myself with Paint, which is very time-consuming, but rewarding. ENJOY

Extremely fun idea. Since its a parody of a parody its not the most original, but using it as an ad for the series is a great idea.

umm i didnt see how it fit like at all and i thought i had he wrong thread at first...

They're not all the same size... It looks out of order.

Love the Lividmanda, but where on earth are the laser eyes? I wasn't sad to see Whitney go, either, so this is making me out to be someone I'm not. I think Erik's "Many Adventures of Pissedney" was better overall. That didn't make me look like a crybaby. That made me look as livid as I was. -Amanda

5th PLACE - ALEX

Turkey is a great place to come spend your vacation in! Whether you go for the sights like the basilicas or mosques, the numerous palaces, or even visit the city of Troy (site of Homer's epic, Iliad), you are sure to find yourself with many historical and cultural places to see. Stop by Istanbul and sample some of our delectable homemade Simit, a circular bread filled with poppyseeds. It will make you scream for more! Now don't forget to pack your swimsuit, because you won't want to miss out on the tremendous beaches Turkey has to offer. The airfare and hotel prices are reasonable in this tough economy, so there are no excuses why Turkey isn't the best vacation destination in 2011!

It was all about Turkey! I just wish the writing was inside of the pamphlet

Generic travel book cover. Nothing too impressive.

white is kind of a boring central color

Organized and neat. Not very eye-catching but definitely not terrible. I could actually see this getting used as a travel pamphlet, but I think people only ever pick those up when they're already interested in a visit or are bored at an airport. That style doesnt really attract anyone new.

4th PLACE - MIKAYLA

The reason I should win is because this video will entice people to play this series. No offense intended but the casts seem to be getting a tad repetitive in this series. I think a great way to solve this is by getting a lot of new people interested and wanting to play! The fact that a small group of us have played so many times proves that this is an awesome series and a video like this could bring in more new and active faces into the Survivor-Amanda series.



Judges' Comments:

The editting is a little jumpy and awkward, especially the part where the music breaks. It's distracting and makes things less awesome.

Not very aesthetic..

Video ad is a good idea, but a series of flashing images isn't that spectacular.

i think it was a great idea but itd have been nice to see something more than just pictures

3rd PLACE - ELIZA

Advertisement for Amanda's Series

For this challenge, I decided to create a video advertisement. 30 seconds was not long enough so I wanted to make it as short and to the point as possible but still include some key moments from past players. The AMAZING host and co-host make the series possible, so they are both shown talking about the game in general.


The players add the drama and human interaction. I used past winners of the series for the quotes.


Finally, the Series Logo at the end ties it all together, and Amanda's favorite catchphrase at the end sums it all up as she puts her heart into this series. Hope you like it!

the idea was good but i think it couldve advertised the unique stuff about this series better

It was good to see the actual players talking in there, as well as Amanda, but Jenna wasn't in character. So... a few points off.

Really great idea, though I feel like the execution was somewhat... generic I guess. I dunno, I like it though, really good effort! Sierra's clip being her and her psychotic tendancies made me smile. As far as the idea goes I think its great and have no complaints. Editting could have been a lot better but I'm not sure where to take off points for that.

Video was her idea first, she came to me with it. The editing isn't that great, though, since they sometimes get cut off. I do like how she included all of the winners, but some of the clips don't seem to fit. Like how Sierra is portrayed as nuts.

2nd PLACE - KELLY

As you can see I've made this postcard from a scene at Cappadocia. I chose this beautiful image to make into a postcard because it's of a breathtaking view that you often see on most postcards that you see while traveling. I chose not to change the original image too much and to keep my graphic simple. I think by keeping it simple, it values the original beauty of the photo. For the border around the photo, I took the same color that were in the background of the mountains. Following that same theme, I chose to write "Wish you were here" in a red that matches the bottom of the focal point balloon.

I feel I should win this challenge because I made a graphic that would make you truly want to go visit Cappadocia. If a friend of mine were traveling, and had chosen to send me this particular post card I would wish that I had hidden in their luggage so that I could be a part of the experience.

It's nice, but uh... not original.

Postcards are nice, but the idea to just take an image off of Google an use it as a postcard isn't.

Extremely gorgeous. And I personally like the brown font, though i think it could do with a little more contrast.

Kellys argument was awesome and she sold it really well

1st PLACE - JP

For my design i decided to go with a logo for the series. It incorporates a piece from every season and how this series has travelled to all different areas of the world. There is beach for tonga, the desert from namibia, the cliffs from malaysia, the great wall from manchuria, and the waterfall from Jiuzhaigou Valley. In the future seasons, an added part will be placed in the logo to attract new players from all corners of thew world. Amanda's name is of course the biggest and most important, since Jeff Probst is now out of the picture.

i loved taht he tried to get stuff from all seasons

I like how he took an original approach by going with location over previous winners.

Hand-drawn? Nice work. It's a very nice drawing overall. He did good with it!

The single color thing is a bit of a letdown, I feel as if it could have used something to make the design pop a bit more, but it still looks really nice. I think had he tried to play with color with a ballpoint drawing it probably would have looked sloppy though.
