Season six started off when twenty Americans were abandoned in the beautiful mountainous Jiuzhaigou Valley in western China for a battle for a “$1 million” purse. They were divided into two tribes as follows:
Babs Chu
Gnas Ri:
Episode One: “Totally Gone Froot Loops”
The twenty Americans were abandoned in two separate camps, one near the waterfall (Babs Chu) and the other on the side of a mountain (Gnas Ri). At Babs Chu, Parvati, Natalie, and Ashley immediately began bathing under the waterfall to entice the guys, but Parvati decided that the three of them would become the “Valley Girls” alliance and start to pick them off one by one by one. This plan was somewhat disrupted when Amber began babbling incoherently and acting like she’d lost her mind, Several people thought she was insane and wanted to target her. At Gnas Ri, Burton began annoying people with his arrogance, but he at least talked to people. When the challenge came on Day Two, people had to base their decisions on first impressions alone. Parvati won on Babs Chu and took the mystery prize (a double vote) and gave immunity to Natalie, while the less-than-talkative Ozzy got only 1 flower. On Gnas Ri, Burton won despite the perceptions about him and kept immunity, giving Misty a double vote. Dolly incurred a penalty vote. At Babs Chu, the girls kindled an alliance but Tom wanted to take Ashley out since he didn’t like her. He tried to gain support, but most people wanted either Amber or Ozzy out. Parvati, wanting the Valley Girls alliance to come to fruition, knew that a man needed to go first. She chose Ozzy for being the least social. Though Ashley expressed some interest in blindsiding Tom, they decided to do what was best for the tribe and sent Ozzy packing unanimously. Gnas Ri, however, had a clear division amongst itself. Many people were disturbed by Burton’s increasing arrogance due to his immunity win and wished they hadn’t given him flowers. Kelly and Rory bonded by means of them not liking anyone else on their tribe, and the group decided that they and Coach, due to them having a similar attitude to Burton, were outcasts and were therefore aligned with him. Upon hearing that Burton wanted Julie out for being the least social and, from Burton, that Rory and Kelly were also sending votes her way, the ‘counter-alliance,’ which thought of nicknames for themselves, of Chase (“Grape”), Adam (“Ken”), Andrea (“Barbie”), Julie (“Jelly Berry”), and Dolly (“The Dolly”) decided to target Rory despite him being completely distrustful of Burton. As the counter-alliance roped in Misty, Rory got increasingly paranoid as Tribal drew nearer that he was intentionally being kept out of the loop, and at Tribal Council his paranoia came to fruition as the counter-alliance blindsided him, with Misty using her double vote to get the reward off her chest to make the vote 7-4-1. An angry Rory was voted out, and on his way out he called some of his foes racist.
Episode Two: “Dominated by Kittens”
Babs Chu’s unity was short-lived, as two distinct sides began to develop. The Valley Girls alliance, led by Parvati and Natalie, scapegoated NaOnka into thinking she was in charge and that the alliance had been her idea, so she would be a bigger target. They aimed to target Aaron or David if they lost the challenge, as did Chad. Amber, although she was sobering up, was still left out of the alliance and she didn’t like Natalie; Amber also had forgotten completely about the first three days of the game. Tom and Natalie also formed an alliance to play both sides, and while Tom got cocky, Natalie wondered which side would be her better option. At Gnas Ri, the counter-alliance celebrated a blindside well-done, but the lines had clearly been drawn. Kelly prayed to have an opportunity to mutiny. Gnas Ri got flattened in the challenge and Babs Chu took home immunity. While the blue tribe, at Parvati’s encouragement, told stories of “Senor Immunity” around the campfire, the Gnas Ri counter-alliance aimed to target Burton. However, Coach’s lack of performance and general laziness annoyed the tribe even more, and they instead aimed to get rid of him. Coach was unanimously booted at Tribal Council.
Episode Three: “Boom Goes the Dynamite”
Gnas Ri knew they had to win the next immunity challenge and opted to set things aside for the time being. Babs Chu began to clearly divide and Natalie and Ashley continued bonding, although they were suspicious of Parvati’s real intentions. Tom went to Aaron wanting to get NaOnka out, but Aaron told NaOnka, who wanted to get rid of Tom as soon as possible. Amber also distrusted Tom and went to NaOnka and Parvati to expose him as a snake, and NaOnka agreed to let her join the alliance although they were skeptical, since they thought of Tom as an idiot who couldn’t do any harm. They considered Amber to be playing both sides. At the immunity challenge, although it was extremely close, Burton led Gnas Ri to their first win, granting him a reprieve in the eyes of his tribemates although they still did not trust him. At Babs Chu, NaOnka fingered Parvati as the ringleader of the girls’ alliance and the one who let Amber in, thus causing Parvati to completely distrust her and wonder if the Valley Girls alliance would hold. A twist of fate occurred when the producers informed David of a matter in his personal life and he elected to leave the game. Most of the girls on his tribe said that he would have been targeted anyway, but everyone wished him the best.
Episode Four: “Consider Yourself Warned”
Babs Chu was a mess. Tom arrogantly claimed that he was large and in charge given the amount of his allies and that Aaron would be leaving at their next Tribal Council, but unbeknownst to him, the Valley Girls and Aaron had already labeled him as the next target because he was difficult to live with. At Gnas Ri, two factions within the counter-alliance developed, with Barbie, Dolly, and Adam on one end and Chase, Julie, and Misty on the other; Chase and Adam also had a strong pact to stick together and Chase felt more inclined to side with Adam and the blondes, but all six of them wanted Burton and Kelly gone first, although both felt alienated and desperately wanted a tribe swap. They didn’t get one, and when Babs Chu won immunity by a hair, both of them felt like targets. Burton campaigned to save himself and Chase and Adam agreed since Burton would be a target before him if the tribes were switched, so they aimed to target Kelly, who they knew would flop, instead. However, Burton grew cocky once again and thought he’d have a shot at staying, and Chase began to distrust him when Burton said that he [Chase] was in charge. After Burton told Kelly that Adam was the target, then told Adam he said that, Adam and Chase got paranoid that Burton or Kelly had somehow found a Hidden Immunity Idol, and the two of them decided secretly split the vote between Burton and Kelly in case either of them had an idol. There wasn’t one, and Kelly was sent home by a 5-2-1 vote.
Episode Five: “The Blonde and Brunette Thing”
At Gnas Ri, Burton felt uncomfortable and contemplated quitting because he was outnumbered. He decided that he had to uber the next challenge yet again. As Tom got increasingly arrogant at Babs Chu and some of the girls, Ashley in particular, aimed to target him next, Tom started getting suspicious of Amber’s loyalty. Babs Chu, however, won immunity, and again Parvati led storytelling around the campfire. At Gnas Ri, Adam decided that Burton’s jig was finally up, although Chase tried to change his mind by saying that Burton was the best challenge performer they had. Chase’s efforts to vote out Dolly as a weak link were ignored, and Chase, fearing a swap, threw his vote to Dolly to make his tribe seem more divided, but Burton was finally voted out 5 to 2.
Episode Six: “A Crack Head Wielding a Gun”
After Burton’s departure, Gnas Ri was a mess. They feared losing the next challenge and many people began to question Chase’s move. At Babs Chu, Tom confronted Amber about hearing that she thought of him as a snake, and Amber lied that she’d heard of him before and knew not to trust him. Parvati found out about this, and realized that Amber would think of her as a traitor and therefore Amber had to go. However, the plan was disrupted when the tribes were switched, with the new Gnas Ri being Aaron, Adam, Andrea, Ashley, Chad, Natalie, and Parvati, and Amber, Chase, Dolly, Julie, Misty, NaOnka, and Tom comprising the new Babs Chu. Dolly won a 2x nullifier with her new buff and was allowed to keep the details secret. Both tribes would also go to Tribal Council and vote somebody out, so castaways were playing for individual immunity. Amber and Chad won immunity and the opportunity to vote at the other tribe’s Tribal Council. At the new Gnas Ri, Ashley and Natalie brought Andrea on board the Valley Girls alliance and, along with Parvati, seeking to avenge Burton, aimed to target Adam since Andrea said Adam had led the charge. Adam, knowing he was outnumbered, tried to flirt with several of the girls. His charm won Natalie and Ashley over, and the girls collectively saw Aaron as expendable, despite Parvati’s insistence that Adam needed to go to break up the original Gnas Ri tribe. When Parvati suddenly dropped the issue and agreed to vote for Aaron, Ashley became paranoid that Parvati was trying to blindside her and decided that the “Mean Girls” sect of the Valley Girls alliance needed to rise to prominence. Although she contemplated taking Parvati out and giving Andrea Parvati’s spot in the alliance, the girls focused on voting for the weak link Aaron and he was sent home by a 7-1 vote, with only the Babs Chu guest, Amber, voting for Adam.
At Babs Chu, all hell broke loose. The Gnas Ri majority imploded when Tom and NaOnka came to Chase to make a final five alliance, but Chase tried to get them to vote for Dolly by spreading rumors that she was the leader of an all-girl alliance on the original Gnas Ri, then changed his mind. This entertained NaOnka, who hoped to reunite with the Valley Girls. Tom threatened Chase that if he didn’t vote with the original Babs Chu, he would be going since Tom claimed to have received a double vote from Natalie. Chase refused, so NaOnka and Tom informed Misty about Chase exposing their nonexistent alliance, and in turn, Misty informed Dolly and Julie. The girls contemplated whether or not Tom actually had a double vote, but Misty as regretted using hers and was not afraid to admit it, she remembered that the double vote was nontransferable and that Parvati still had it. Misty made a side alliance with Amber, who knew she was on the outs of the original Babs Chu since she didn’t know about any double votes. Misty then reported news of the double vote to Chase, who decided that Tom was a liar and that NaOnka was manipulative and that he or NaOnka needed to go since they were trying to rip apart the Gnas Ri tribe (which they were). Dolly revealed her 2x nullifier to her allies, and the four original Gnas Ri members decided that sticking together was the best option, as the original Babs Chu members, including Chad, were sticking together regardless. At Tribal Council, Dolly used her nullifiers and NaOnka was blindsided by a 4-2 vote.
Episode Seven: “Throwing from Both Sides”
Castaways at both tribes started pondering that they would need to throw the challenge in order to preserve their original tribes, which were even at 6-6. Nu Babs Chu wanted to get rid of challenge threat Amber, although Misty insisted that Amber would flip come the merge. Amber, however, began babbling incoherently again and distanced herself from her tribemates, which Tom relished in knowing that he could make the merge and reunite with Parvati, Natalie, and Chad. At the Nu Gnas Ri, Chad and Parvati insisted on throwing the challenge in order to get rid of Adam, which disgusted Ashley and Natalie and made them question the decision. Natalie did not want to pick between an original Babs Chu group and her new allies Andrea and Adam, the latter of which showed no loyalty to them whatsoever and was only doing what he needed to do to get by. At the Immunity Challenge, Nu Babs Chu was more successful in their attempt to throw, and they successfully lost the challenge, protecting Adam and Andrea and allowing them to vote out the increasingly anti-social Amber unanimously.
Episode Eight: “Throw You Too”
Parvati continued to annoy Ashley at Nu Gnas Ri, prompting Ashley to consider staging a blindside if they lost. At Nu Babs Chu, Tom hinted to Chase that Ashley was the fifth wheel of the original Babs Chu group, thinking that he was in charge; Ashley, however, also expressed interest in winning the challenge so Tom would be gone. At the immunity challenge, tribes were promised a bonus reward or two if they won, to deter them from throwing; the original Gnas Ri group at Nu Babs Chu, however, did not take this seriously and they put forth minimal effort, except for Chase who wanted that reward. When Nu Babs Chu lost the challenge, Nu Gnas Ri was able to kidnap Tom and prevent him from being voted out; Nu Gnas Ri also received a clue to a Hidden Immunity Idol, which nobody was able to find. At Nu Babs Chu, the original Gnas Ri, knowing that the original tribes would be 5-5 at the merge, contemplated telling each other who they were voting for. Dolly, however, was starting to get sick, which put Julie and Misty’s potential idea to blindside Chase on hold. Dolly was voted out at Tribal Council.
Episode Nine: “I Don’t Know What I’m Doing”
The two tribes merged into Brug Skad Brgyab [“Dragon’s Voice” in Tibetan] and the sides were clearly drawn. At the merge feast, the original Babs Chus found and shared a Hidden Immunity Clue they found on the meat plate. After lunch, Barbie and Adam reunited with Chase and their reunion was awkward after Chase called Barbie “annoying.” Ashley and Julie got into an argument and it was immediately clear that the two would not get along. Tom, thinking he was in control, rekindled an alliance with Chad and Parvati and hoped for the original Babs Chu to stick together. Barbie became a permanent member of the Mean Girls alliance, while Adam was unsure which group he’d side with: Babs Chu or Gnas Ri. Thinking she was the fifth wheel as Tom had said, Chase campaigned to get Ashley to side with him, completely unaware that she was the leader of his opposition. In the process, Ashley heard that Tom had referred to her as a “floater,” which she took as an insult; to prove a point, Ashley proceeded to win the immunity challenge and was presented with a choice to give it to Tom, the runner-up, or not. Knowing that doing so would get Tom on her side, she complied. Still angry about her argument with Julie, Ashley decided that Julie had to go and got the entire Babs Chu alliance on board. However, Ashley and Natalie got paranoid that Parvati or Tom had sold out their strategy to Chase and that Chase would have looked for the Hidden Immunity Idol to play it on Julie, who he knew they were targeting and had lied to Misty that he was voting for Julie. However, Chad and Tom were able to locate the Idol, and knowing that it was in their possession helped Ashley get her initial wish. Chad contemplated using the Idol to save Parvati, who Chase had said was the target, but he was in actuality targeting Natalie. Realizing that Barbie had flipped, Adam knew he had no choice and decided that he was with the Mean Girls until the end. Misty, who had forgotten about Parvati’s double vote expiring at the merge, sided with Babs Chu in her paranoia. At Tribal Council, Julie was blindsided by an 8-2 vote, with only Chase voting to keep her, and she became the first member of the jury.
Episode Ten: “Your Wish Is My Command”
Chase was a complete wreck after Julie’s departure and asked the entire tribe to vote him out since he no longer cared for the game. Many of the others found him pathetic in that he was just giving up because something didn’t go his way; Chase figured he stood no chance. Chad narrowly beat Adam at the immunity challenge; Chase lollygagged in the lake the entire time. At camp, Ashley contemplated voting for Tom because she was getting bored of mocking his mindset of him thinking he was in full control, however Barbie and Natalie insisted that Chase was an enemy and that he was more obnoxious with his lack of motivation, and that they didn’t want Amanda to come kill him with laser eyes. At Tribal Council, Chase insisted that everyone vote him off, and they did. Chase became the second member of the jury.
Episode Eleven: “I’m So Stupid Today”
After Chase’s uneventful departure, castaways received $500 for an auction the following morning, which made Ashley wish that Tom had been voted out instead of Chase. Castaways also competed in a puzzle for a pool extra auction money, which was split by placement in order of Parvati, Chad, Adam, Misty, and Barbie. At the auction, where jury members were not present, the items won were as follows:
1. Challenge advantage for this round's immunity - ADAM for $60
2. Bob the Rock - ASHLEY for $140
3. Triple vote [good for three TCs] - TOM for $460
4. 1x nullifier [good for four TCs] - PARVATI for $360
5. Vote changer [*may not make a person self-vote, good for three TCs] - TOM For $480
6. Take someone else's money away, but double their vote at the next TC - NATALIE for $360, took BARBIE's money [Barbie's vote doubles]
7. Pre-jury voting history - PARVATI for $400
8. Reward reverser - NATALIE for $380
9. Double vote - ASHLEY for $360
10. Ask Amanda one question - NATALIE for $100
The jury was brought in and castaways were then given their next immunity challenge. Julie pulled out a win and awarded immunity to Misty. Natalie and Barbie did not do the challenge because they suck and were given self-votes at the upcoming Tribal, with Barbie’s being doubled. Despite this, Ashley saw this as her chance to get rid of Tom even though he was packing heat, figuring he was a sitting duck to be blindsided. Tom’s arrogance got annoying to his campmates and Misty happily complied in order to improve her odds later. As if he were on vacation, Tom sat back lazily thinking he was safe, but when the two pled cases to each other, Ashley convinced Parvati that Tom was holding her down and that Ashley’s double vote was all that was needed. Parvati begrudgingly went along with the plan and Tom was blindsided by a 5-2-2-1 vote at Tribal Council, taking his rewards with him to the jury.
Episode Twelve: “Survivor: Awesome”
Ashley was ecstatic to have taken Tom out and relished in her control, hoping she could get rid of Parvati in the near future since she had a clear majority in her alliance with Natalie, Barbie, and Adam. The immunity challenge presented a bit of a twist where two people would win and two votes would occur at Tribal Council that evening. Ashley and Parvati won immunity with Survivor concepts of convicts battling for freedom and awesomeness that included Amanda’s hat, respectively. Ashley was disappointed that Parvati couldn’t leave and decided to target Chad, however Natalie informed her that she thought Chad had an idol and that Misty should be the target instead. The idol stipulated that the idol would grant Chad immunity for an entire night and thus both votes, and although he contemplated using it to save Misty, he decided his own safety was the primary concern. Chad played his idol and Misty was voted out 4-3 at the first vote and joined the jury. At the second vote, Chad and Parvati were still safe so the Valley Girls and Adam were forced to turn on each other. Natalie opted to save her showmance Adam over the expendable Barbie, while Ashley and Barbie were forced to target Adam. Parvati was forced to vote Adam out and use her nullifier to save Barbie, who she hoped would flip, and Adam was sent to the jury 3-2 because Natalie forgot her reward reverser.
Episode Thirteen: “Ahem”
The three Mean Girls relished in the fact that they had majority, although Natalie was somewhat sad to have seen Adam go. At the immunity challenge, all three of them dropped early knowing their numbers would be able to get the loser of Chad/Parvati out, although the jury was still a factor for the last time. Parvati again won immunity, and Amanda was upset at several people not putting forth any effort. Back at camp, Parvati tried to convince Barbie that they could be a final two as opposed to her staying in third with Ashley and Natalie and that it would be optimal for her to vote out the controlling bitch Ashley. Barbie didn’t listen and Chad was voted out 3-2 at Tribal Council.
Episode Fourteen (Finale): “Goin’ Out in a Blaze of Glory”
The Mean Girls thought they’d make final three and when the challenge arrived at treemail, Barbie proclaimed that her memory was amazing, which the others were skeptical. Barbie got a mere six questions while Parvati aced the quiz and won immunity for a third time. Barbie was scared and Parvati tried to talk sense into her and that Ashley needed to go, but Barbie was too brainwashed by Ashley to listen and Barbie wanted to gun for Natalie. Realizing that the dumb blonde was her only option, Parvati complied and the votes tied 2-2 at Tribal Council, with Parvati’s theory that Barbie was a third wheel coming true. Natalie and Barbie competed in an endurance challenge; when Barbie dropped out, she was sent to the jury and Natalie advanced to the final three.
Back at camp, Ashley and Parvati got into a brief argument about who was better, but it ended with them hating each other even more. The following morning, the final three followed the Rite of Passage and paid respect to those who fell before them. Ashley mostly delivered swift insults and did not care about anyone but herself and her allies, while Natalie left a heartfelt message to Julie. Parvati took her notes and delivered genuine opinions of everyone. At the challenge, Parvati and Ashley were neck-and-neck but Parvati came out on top for her fourth straight immunity win. She weighed her options and Natalie’s statement to Julie during the rites bothered her. She feared that Natalie had more connections on the jury while Ashley was a better strategist that just seemed to hate anyone she had no allegiance to, which compromised over half the jury. Thinking “Trashley” would only get two jury votes from Natalie and Adam, Parvati ultimately decided to vote out the more social Natalie and take the less social, more strategic and villainous Ashley to the final two. The following morning, the two ate a silent breakfast together, enjoying their food more than each other’s company, and prepared for an all-out war at the Final Tribal Council.
In her opening statement, Ashley outright claimed she played a better game than Parvati by forming an inseparable alliance with whom she’d wanted to work with since before the game started and that she and her alliance had completely controlled the entire game. Parvati admitted her game wasn’t perfect but said that a perfect game wasn’t necessary to win when your opponent made unnecessary alliances just to betray them. Parvati also stated the first person she wanted to align with, Natalie, sought alliances with the girls she already had a deal with and that Natalie and Ashley cared more about being BFFs and being mean than playing the game seriously and that she (Parvati) had to actually work and play hard to make the end.
Tom was the first juror to ask questions. He asked Ashley what her single biggest move was and she said that it was getting rid of him, which included turning Parvati against him, and thus she solidified her final three alliance with Barbie and Natalie and that they could finally have an “advantage” in the game. Parvati rebutted saying that she only went along to weaken Ashley by getting rid of her double vote and that they’d had an advantage long before since they had Adam and it was clear none of them would vote each other out unless they had to. Ashley said picking them off would have been too easy, with a group like Tom, Chad, and Amber, which Parvati correctly identified as nonexistent, and that Ashley just hung back, which she admitted but only because she had information; she called Parvati out for contradicting her opening but Parvati said that she was talking about two different times. Ashley said she busted up Parvati’s endgame alliance with Tom, Misty, and Chad, which Parvati laughed at because the two guys were going after Misty and they would never have worked together. Parvati said her true endgame was the final incarnation of the Valley Girls with Barbie, Misty, and Natalie, and that Ashley was just making random accusations. Ashley continued to bitch Parvati out but eventually gave up after she’d “proved her point,” which Parvati smiled at. Many of the jurors were shaking their heads.
Misty went second. She asked no questions to either but stated that Parvati was a far better social player and that Ashley only wanted to talk game, which was discouraging. Misty also said that although Ashley played a better strategic game, it was not enough since Parvati was a “triple threat” despite being too trusting. She said her vote had already been decided and sat back down.
Barbie went third and compared herself to a doormat that both Ashley and Parvati needed to get where they were. She asked what role she played in each person’s game and why they deserved to win. Parvati told Barbie that she did not play the game well because she trusted Natalie and Ashley too much, when she was a disposable third wheel, and that Parvati had long wanted to take advantage of that and turn the numbers in her favor but Barbie’s loyalty to the others prevented that.
Natalie was the fourth. She commended Ashley and asked to recap the entire game plan, which she complied by stating that the Mean Girls were a unit and not individuals and spewing crap that Ashley was the mastermind of using Parvati’s nullifier, which contradicted what they’d said earlier in the game. Natalie said that Ashley played an amazing game and Parvati did not. She called Parvati’s social game “overrated” and that Parvati did not do anything on her own, that “trying” was not enough, and that since Parvati needed to work to make the end and Ashley did not, Ashley somehow deserved to win and that anyone that voted for Parvati was an idiot. When Parvati was about to call Natalie out for making absolutely no sense and for forgetting that Parvati had been the one to try to make an endgame deal on day one, Natalie cut her off. Amanda and the staff were disgusted by Natalie’s remarks and forced her to take a seat.
Julie was next. She was a bit hung over and she wanted musical comparisons. While Ashley maintained her negative viewpoints towards everyone but the Mean Girls, Parvati maintained her goody two-shoes attitude. Julie also felt bothered by Ashley’s lack of big moves and sole dedication to playing the game rather than getting to know people outside of her alliance.
Amber stumbled up and was clearly drugged out. She asked the finalists if they’d had fun in this game. Ashley dwelled on working with her alliance, while Parvati mentioned several specific instances with the other Survivors, even David, and having fun meeting people and interacting with them. Satisfied, Amber knew who would be getting her vote.
Adam closed the show. He asked no questions but commended Parvati for being extremely likable but said that she depended too much on immunity and that she never had control of the game. He bashed Ashley for overselling herself and said that her Mean Girls alliance making the final four together was not as impressive as she thought it was. He called Ashley the opposite of Parvati in that she had control but was not very likable at all. While saying that he wished someone had both of their qualities, he said that he would be voting for the person that he felt “was truly a player… whatever that means.”
At the finale, Parvati Shallow was crowned the Sole Survivor with votes from Amber, Tom, Misty, and Julie. Ashley Underwood was the runner-up with votes from her allies Adam, Natalie, and Barbie.
Five names were revealed for Heroes vs. Villains:
Parvati Shallow, The Princess. She started strong and tried hard to get by week after week. She was well-liked and respected and became an underdog and a center of attention and won four immunity challenges to secure her winning the game.
Ashley Underwood, The Black Widow. A ruthless bitch who was not afraid to express her negative opinions of everyone around her, she formed a tight alliance and stayed true to it, even when people were unhappy with her lack of moves. She is a ruthless player and ended up in second place.
Misty Giles, The Underdog. The good girl who at the same time planned ahead, even though those plans were fruitless since the situation never worked out for her. A fan favorite, her niceness and determination against the odds let us give her a spot.
Adam Gentry, The Diplomat. He was part of a majority alliance in every situation he found himself in. Why? Because that's where he wanted to be. He listened to others and wanted to get farther with them and he was a strong player even with that.
Tom Westman, The Megalomaniac. An exceptional source of entertainment for the staff., he tried hard to assume control and because of that, thought he WAS in control. Coupled with figuring out the season's only Hidden Immunity Idol, we thought we'd give him a chance to actually, you know, be in control.
Although it wasn’t as epic as seasons past, Jiuzhaigou Valley was still a fun season to host and I’m glad I had some of the players that chose to give it their all. Although many of them left early, what can you do? It’s Survivor. And it’ll keep surviving. Thank you all for another great season!
Love,
Amanda

Episode One: “Totally Gone Froot Loops”
Immunity Challenge: Castaways would donate some of their 20 flowers to other people on their tribe. The person with the most flowers on each tribe would win a choice of immunity or a mystery prize, the runner-up would get the item not chosen, and the person with the fewest flowers would receive a penalty vote at Tribal Council
Immunity Challenge: Castaways would accumulate points for their tribe by placing weights on a scale once an hour. Points would be awarded based on the number of tribemates that placed weights in any given hour, and the tribe with the most points would win immunity.
Immunity Challenge: Tribes would design an SOS signal using as few items as possible. The one with the better signal as determined by the hosts passing over in a helicopter would win immunity
Immunity Challenge: Tribes would need to break four locks to a safe which contained the immunity idol. The first tribe to claim it would win it.
Immunity Challenge: Tribes would each have a station with jewels stashed in it. Tribe members would sneak into the other tribe’s station to steal jewels, but if they were caught, they were imprisoned. The tribe with the most jewels or the first tribe to capture everyone on the other tribe would win immunity.
Immunity Challenge: Individuals would compete in a straight-up endurance competition; the last one standing on each new tribe would win immunity
Immunity Challenge: One person from each tribe would face off in a duel with a various objective. The first to achieve the objective would win a point for their team, and the first team to 4 points would win immunity.
Episode Eight: “Throw You Too”
Immunity Challenge: Tribes would design an obstacle course for the other tribe to complete. The first tribe to finish the other tribe’s obstacle course would win immunity and a reward.
Immunity Challenge: Individuals would secretly stack a plate on one of six types of towers each turn. Points would be awarded for comparable towers and the person with the most points would win immunity, with the possibility of the runner-up doing so as well.
Immunity Challenge: Survivors would snorkel through a lake and then run through the woods along a hilly obstacle course. The first person to finish would win immunity.
Immunity Challenge: Survivors would answer questions about each other and then be polled as to who they think the majority said. The person who answered the most questions right would win immunity/
Immunity Challenge: Castaways would plan out an entire fictional season of Survivor using whatever cast deemed necessary. The hosts would judge all submissions and the two with the best stories would win immunity. Two people would go home at Tribal Council.
Immunity Challenge: Castaways would balance one pole on each arm with increasing amounts of pressure added every 30 minutes. The last castaway with either pole remaining would win immunity.
Immunity Challenge: The final four would answer a 35-question quiz that appeared at treemail. The person with the most correct would be granted immunity.
Immunity Challenge: Contestants would free themselves from rope using a spear and then compete in a series of obstacles. The first person to finish the course would win immunity and be guaranteed a spot in the final two.
Love,
Amanda
