The Tale of Hurricane Sydney:
Once upon a time, there was a survivor castaway named Sydney Wheeler. Sydney Wheeler signed up for Survivor Malaysia in the hopes of winning the one million dollar prize. At first glance, Sydney seemed like a sweet and innocent castaway. She appeared to be a castaway that one would like to become friends with and build an epic alliance with. However, things are not as they always seem on the outside. On the inside, Sydney proved to be a tortured and crazy individual.
Our story of Sydney the hurricane begins with the first tribal council. After some rather erratic behavior, everyone wanted to vote Sydney out of the game. She reportedly sent a private message to one of her fellow castaways containing only one word: boner. After this reported message, there was a firestorm of activity to get Sydney out of the game. Shockingly, Sydney managed to convince Joe, Frosti, and Alina among others to keep her in the game and instead vote out Danni, a seemingly more normal person.
At this point, it seemed as though some were willing to look past Sydney’s odd and erratic behavior in the game. Not all of her tribe mates were willing to accept the fact that she had survived the first tribal council and was still in the game. The results from this first tribal council lead to some massive girl drama between Colleen and Sydney, which would last for rounds to come. Colleen was rather critical of Sydney’s work during the second challenge, though she herself did not add much to the challenge. Even though Sydney appeared to be rather odd, Alina, Joe, and Frosti all agreed to stick by her. The four agreed that Colleen must be stopped and voted out of the game as soon as possible.
Sydney and Colleen both managed to stay in the game for the next couple of rounds, much to everyone’s surprise. For the time being, some dead weights needed to be dealt with. Sydney managed to hide her craziness behind these dead weights. After all, would you rather have someone that is crazy on your tribe or someone that does not do any work?
After a couple of rather quiet rounds, all hell broke loose and Sydney transformed into a hurricane. She reportedly sent threatening messages to some of her fellow castaways. Alina and Frosti were both skeptical to her behavior and wanted her to stay in the game because they felt that she was a valuable ally. Frosti helped Alina devise a plan that would keep Sydney in the game. Alina was to use her nullifier to nullify the votes of Candice and Rob. Sydney, Alina, Rupert, and Morgan were all to vote for Rob, which, along with Alina’s nullifier, would be enough votes to save Sydney from being eliminated. However, a very confused individual by the name of Rupert messed up this plan and told it to the enemies: Rob, Colleen, and Coach.
With their covered blown, Alina realized there was no other choice but to let Sydney be eliminated from the game. Alina tried to salvage her game by telling Rob that even though she was indeed voting for him, he would be safe. Rob told Alina the juicy details regarding Sydney, including the fact that she was threatening him. With the truth now known to Alina, she was glad that she did not waste her valuable nullifiers on saving Sydney.
When the results were posted, hurricane Sydney made landfall and reeked havoc. She went so far as to criticize the wonderful host Amanda. Sydney no longer was the sweet apple she appeared to be to some of her closest allies. The true bruised spots began to show and she began to look more like a rotten apple. Alina, originally sympathetic to Sydney, had to the last straw when Sydney sent her a rude instant message cussing her out for not saving her and using her coveted nullifier.
After the results were posted, all of Sydney’s dirty secrets were exposed. The wise hosts, Amanda and Erik, banned her from the game and took away her coveted All Stars position. Sydney tried to make herself out to be the “good girl” and the rest of us to be the “bad apples” but it backfired on her. She is a missing person from this game that no one misses at all.
